Project duration – 15 weeks
Intercraft completed this impressive and technically challenging loft conversion in 15 weeks, working from and adapting plans provided by the customer’s architect and structural engineer. By working closely with the customer throughout the process, we were able to overcome a number of technical challenges, from reconfiguring the first floor of the property to accommodate and highlight the new staircase, through to positioning the 900kg, eight-metre-long structural steel supports using available road access. Most challenging was the low ceiling height that required the original design to be adjusted and fresh calculations to be made, so that the floor could be lowered by five inches.

What work was carried out?
- Full loft conversion.
- Installation of full-width glass windows that provide stunning views of the golf course immediately behind the property, and of the London skyline.
- Added an en suite, separated by a floating tiled wall to ensure privacy. Following the customer’s instructions, the bath was situated within the bedroom to make the most of the beautiful view.
- Reconfigured the first-floor landing, removing unnecessary bedroom walls and highlighting the placement of the new staircase up to the conversion.
